In a world filled with terror, anger, disbelief and denial, it’s time to take a step back and become prepared for worse days. The best of us turn revenge into positive energy, and what a fuel can that be! Think of all the things you can change out of revenge, but be careful not to confuse it with getting back at someone.
1. Get your “revenge body”
As a concept, a “revenge body” is a positive thing and I think that once you’ve channeled all your energy into getting in shape, you will learn all about your strength and your power to overcome many obstacles. I watched the promo for Khloe Kardashian’s “Revenge Body” reality show and there’s one question I felt was very powerful: “This revenge body, who is it for?” The answers are quite the same: “my ex-fiance, my Mom, my friends”. In reality, you get revenge on your old life, on not being the best version of yourself.
2. Steal the focus
When someone has wronged you, the best thing is to go above them. Don’t retaliate, it will cost you a lot of energy and there won’t be any results. Instead, turn the situation around, make friends with their enemies, or better yet, turn their wish to do you wrong into the wish to defend themselves.
3. Create something
Just like the song says “always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper”. Wise people say that you need not compare yourself to others, and they are right. However, you sometimes feel like the whole world is betting against you, doesn’t allow you to express yourself, doesn’t support you. In reality, the world is not watching you, everybody’s busy making ends meet, taking care of their daily routines. The best way to get your revenge is to create something: a start-up, art, an NGO, a blog, anything that shows you are self reliant, anything that shows who you are.
4. Show your vulnerability
Most people have aggressive desires, but most of them attack passively. Getting “revenge” on your attackers is talking about your conflicting feelings, talking about what you’re going through to teach others, show vulnerabilities. The more you transparent and authentic you are, the better you position yourself against others who want to attack you.
